We just completed Phase III of a mural project for All Saints Catholic Newman Center at ASU, just in time for Christmas!
Phase I included the center mural, Christ Pantocrator, which was completed in 2015.
The murals within the niches on either side of the church were completed in Phase II: The Betrothal of Mary and Joseph, and Pentecost.
The latest Phase III included adding a gold-starred blue sky ceiling with Seraphim, The Four Gospels (represented as winged creatures), Incensing Angels before the throne, eight Saints along with Blessed Clara Badano and Blessed Pier Georgio Frassati, and finally, Beuronese-influenced scrolls, painted columns and other design elements that bring a cohesiveness to the multiple Phases.
A band of Latin above the Saints reads: I Am the Alpha and the Omega - The Beginning and the End - The First and the Last - the Lord God Almighty Who Was and Is and Who Is to Come.
Thank you to The Catholic Art Institute for counting us as a finalist in your Sacred Art Prize 2023! We are truly honored and inspired by the diversity of art form, genres and talent exhibited by the artists who submitted their work this year. Congratulations to all!

The Sacred Heart of Jesus, painted by artist, Ruth A. Stricklin, was commissioned by Fr. Brian Phillips of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange, Texas. This work integrates both Eastern and Western styles of historic sacred art. Please visit our Smaller Works page for more information and our Shop for print options.
We are pleased to reveal two recent works. The Woman of Samaria Encounters Jesus and The Young Jesus in the Temple, were painted as a set for the adoration chapel at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Kansas. Please check out our Smaller Works page for more information and our Shop page for print options for your home.
Archangels Michael and Gabriel were originally painted for the Church of St. Gabriel’s, Cave Creek, Arizona. Commissioned by the pastor, Fr. Chad King, the original works are approximately 14 feet in height and complement the liturgical scene of Christ’s eternal sacrifice depicted as the new Tree of Life in the midst of the restored Garden of Eden. St. Michael and St. Gabriel are now available as prints on paper, canvas, or icon board, individually or as a set. Find them in our Shop.
New Jerusalem Studios is a liturgical arts and design studio dedicated to the production of sacred art murals, decorative design, and liturgical furnishings which facilitate a life-changing encounter with Christ in liturgical worship. Truly sacred art is both evangelical, announcing the good news of Jesus Christ in clear, radiant, and beautiful images, and sacramental, revealing and making present in visible form his saving love.
