The River of Life was painted by New Jerusalem Studios artist, Ruth Stricklin, for Xavier College Preparatory Roman Catholic High School.
Painted in a three-panel triptych equaling an overall size of 60 feet wide by 25 feet high, the work is displayed in the gymnasium for all school Masses. It depicts Christ seated on the throne of God surrounded by the Heavenly Host, including the archangels, and a multitude of saints, with water and blood gushing forth from Christ’s wounds, signifying the birth of the Church and the healing power of the Sacraments.
This print is the center panel of the mural. A percentage of all sales from The River of Life goes to the Xavier scholarship fund.
