The Archangels Gabriel and Michael come from the Sacred Heart mural commissioned by Fr. Paul Sullivan for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona. The original work depicts Christ the King and True High Priest. Surrounded by the blessed Seraphim and flanked by the Archangels, Michael and Gabriel, the figure of Christ evokes the gravity of Christ as King of the Universe, yet the tenderness of He who offered the sacrifice of his life on the cross as High Priest for the salvation of the world and each person.
